Chairman - Chas Taylor

Chas joined Trent Park Running Club in December 2006, 6 months after starting to run so that he could run the 2007 London Marathon in the same week as his 60th birthday. He was bitten by the running bug and hasn’t stopped since. As well as taking part in every race possible he has worked in various roles for the Club including Race Director and Communications Officer. He took over as Chairman in October 2014 and gets involved in all aspects of Club activity. He is now looking forward to racing as a vet 70 and hopefully some success.

Secretary - Robert Pick

I began running in my early 40’s to do the London marathon. Twenty years later I may be a lot slower but the enthusiasm remains. What I enjoy is competing against other running clubs in the road running and cross country leagues which take place throughout the year. These are free to all Club members. My aim is to remain competitive in my age group and fill the space available in my trophy cabinet.

Treasurer - Jason Maloney

Jason looks after the finances of the club and has done since April 2016. Jason achieved his personal ambition of running a sub 3-hour marathon at Brighton in 2017 and trains with the sub20 group at the club

Membership Secretary - Christine Hawker

Neil looks after our club membership. When not running, Neil is a known to be quite the performer on the Pub Music scene with a very impressive rendition of his signature tune  ‘Roxanne’.

Team Captain - Adam Bowman

Adam joined Trent Park when the junior section was formed, aged 8, in 2000. He worked his way through the younger ranks and joined the Men’s team 8 years ago. He has a personal favourite of Cross Country and 5Km road races.

He says his biggest achievements with the club are winning the Chingford Cross Country League and the road racing Midweek League.

Communications Officer - James Joy

I was late to running and only started because his children had joined the club and was bored hanging around at the clubhouse waiting for them. However was well and truly bitten by the bug and have gone on to complete over 40 marathon and ultra marathons.

I have taken on various roles at the club, but currently putting me 30+ years of IT experience to good use by managing the clubs website as well as the Handicap series.

I came late to running at the age of 60. Since joining the club I’ve managed to work my way up from couch to 5k-10k- Half Marathon & now Marathons- to my great surprise! This would have been impossible without all the support from the club. For the club, I’ve organised first aid training & club races, and am now helping with the future development of the club.
