Beginners Running Course

 

For many years now the club has run an annual Beginners Programme for those wanting to start running from scratch or coming back to it after years of inactivity.

The programme runs for 10 weeks and is based around the key principles of starting running in a gradual, progressive, safe and fun way.

It is suitable for anyone who wants to start running regardless of current levels of fitness or ability. Our simple aim is to facilitate a pathway for participants to be able to run continuously for about 30 minutes at the end of the 10-week programme.

The next course starts on Saturday 15 February 2020 and will include coached sessions at 10 am on a Saturday morning in Trent Park and 7.30pm on a Tuesday night at the QE2 Athletics Track, Donkey Lane, Enfield. In addition, we would expect participants to do one other session on their own at a time convenient to themselves.

Everything will be organised in such a way that everyone will keep together so that we build up gradually, safely and in a spirit of mutual group support.
