Our members have a wide range of experience from novice to GB Age Group level and members take part in all standards of events from Super-Sprint to Long Distance in duathlons, aquathlons and of course triathlon.
Whilst the club was founded as a running club the triathlon activities are becoming a significant aspect of the club and we have a BTF Level 1 coach and two BTF Level 2 coaches, the club also has several qualified running coaches.
There is no additional membership fee for the Triathlon section but we do insist that anyone taking part in our training sessions complies with appropriate safety standards, i.e. an approved bike helmet, wet suit in open water and a roadworthy bike, if you have any doubt, please check the British Triathlon Rules, a copy can be downloaded here.
On Saturday mornings there are pool based swim training sessions at a local pool and on Monday evenings there another group that swims at Furzefield pool in Potter’s Bar. In the warmer months we also have club sponsored open water training sessions at a local lake and at the white water centre in Waltham Abbey.
We meet on Sunday mornings for bike training sessions usually go out in two or three groups covering from around 25 miles to over 60 miles. See dedicated page for more information.
Our running sessions are obviously based on the general club running sessions.
The club organises an Aquathlon in July each year, entry is free for members and their families, we try to encourage members from all sections of the club to participate in triathlon and triathlon related sports.
We have put together a training plan for 2016 that will help beginners get ready for their first triathlon. We will be working towards doing the HSV spring triathlon in Hatfield as a group on the 15 May 2016. Please contact the tri committee for further details. You can download the plan in full here.

This year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place at the Hockey Centre on Monday 29th October 2018. The meeting will start at 7:30 pm sharp. You will see over coming weeks details of the agenda, requests for items for the agenda and submissions for committee places. It is very important that you all attend the AGM. This club is very much a members club run by members for the members. Please play your part in the running of the Club. The best way to do that is by attending the AGM and play your part in the decisions made.
